I don't want to think about the future too much at the moment. You've got to live in the moment and I don't think trying to agree a lengthy deal for the future is something that is interesting at the moment for me.

To come into a team with all those pressures and a comparative lack of experience, if you're going to be a star of the future, you've got to beat your teammate. He's getting stuck into that now. We're very happy with our driver lineup. If we give them a better car - as we aim to - I'm sure we'll have some better results

I think he's working in a positive direction and is a good team player

Checo is showing the intelligence that we saw in him before (we signed him)

It's more a question of hoping he will still be here in 2015

I know we're giving him what he needs, and as long as we keep on doing that then he'll stay with us. If he could find a better car somewhere else, and he had an option to go there, then I'm sure he would consider it. But I know we're giving him what he needs, and as long as we keep on doing that then he'll stay with us.

The main thing about Kimi is he naturally wants a car to win, and he has got that with us

I know he's happy, and at this stage if he had to choose, I know where he would be.

We know we want Kimi to drive for us next year, but then we also know Kimi's character well, which means you can't force him to do anything

the aim for Monaco is to get both cars home in the points, as we did in Barcelona

While we’re not yet in a position to challenge for victories this year, we’ll relish the challenge provided by this race and we hope to challenge for more points with both cars.

McLaren Mercedes has a fabulous record in Monte Carlo. We’ve taken 15 wins - more than any other constructor

We’re not where we want to be in terms of competitiveness, but I’m confident that we can make another small step forward in Monaco.

Everyone at McLaren Mercedes has been working flat-out since the Spanish Grand Prix

Clearly I'd like to win this weekend (in Monaco), and a bit more in the course of this year and next, but we're a team with 182 grand prix victories and in the long-term we know that weve got to put in place a programme, a business structure and a set of resources that provide us with a platform to be successful every year in the foreseeable future.

I missed out on a world championship point by one position and I'm looking to change that this year

The tight and twisty nature of the circuit makes its requirements fairly exceptional, but every kilometre that we complete with the car provides us with useful data because we have a very busy development programme.

Our aim is to continue improving the performance of the MP4-28 in Monaco
