Qatar (Arabic: قطر IPA: [ˈqɑ̱.tˁɑ̱r]), officially the State of Qatar (Arabic: دولة قطر , Dawlat Qatar), is an emirate in the Middle East and Western Asia, occupying the small Qatar Peninsula on the northeasterly coast of the larger Arabian Peninsula.
